Patron Saint of the City
Near Civic Center park at Lincoln and El Camino Real, Santa Clara. Driven past this park more times than I can remember. Nice day to take a closer look.
Saint Clare
According to a bronze plaque near the pool: “Saint Clare by Ann Van Kleeck, Bronze statue cast by ancient lost wax process in Italy, 1965. Saint Clare is the patron saint of Santa Clara. Statue was shipped by boat around Cape Horn to Santa Clara. October 1965.”
