Collecting Space History

Early Space History

Image of Fort Bliss Centenial stamp, Scott Cat. No. 976
Fort Bliss Centenial, Issued in 1948

This is the first U.S. postage stamp commemorating an event in space history. At the center of the stamp is the launch of a captured V2 rocket, it is post World War II. This very collectable item can be bought for under one dollar, and is quite a remakable item. Collecting space history need not be expensive.
